Sponsored Content, Events, and Data Sharing With Sponsors
LORAN Media Group works with sponsors and partners to support educational programming, events, and media initiatives. Sponsor support is essential to our ability to deliver high-quality, professionally relevant content to our audiences. As a result, sponsor data sharing is a core part of how our platform operates, and registration for our sponsored events and content constitutes acknowledgment of the practices described below.
What We Share With Sponsors
We may share the following categories of information with sponsors of specific events, programs, or content:
Aggregated, de-identified data such as total attendance numbers, audience composition by professional role or specialty, engagement metrics, and general audience characteristics.
Registration and attendance information for sponsored events, webinars, and programs, including but not limited to name, organization, professional role or title, business email address, city/state/country, and session participation.
Engagement data related to sponsored content, such as content viewed, downloads, booth visits (at in-person events), and survey or polling responses associated with sponsored sessions.
How Sponsor Sharing Works
Notice at the point of collection. When you register for a sponsored event or program, we will identify the sponsor(s) at the point of registration so you understand who will receive your information.
Legitimate follow-up only. Sponsors receive registrant information for the purpose of follow-up related to the specific program, event, or content, and for legitimate professional outreach consistent with the educational nature of our programming.
Contractual restrictions. Sponsors are required by contract to use shared information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and to honor opt-out requests.
No sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Your right to opt out. You may opt out of sponsor communications at any time using the unsubscribe link provided in any sponsor communication, by adjusting your preferences at registration where available, or by contacting us directly at the address below.
If you do not wish to have your information shared with sponsors, you may decline to register for sponsored events or programs. Where a sponsored program offers an opt-out at the point of registration, you may use that mechanism to limit sharing.
